altec fender collectors 511b horns in cabs rare Start Price USD 595.00 Current Price USD 595.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Tuesday, November 18, 2008 End Time Tuesday, November 25, 2008 Location TONOPAH, AZ See more about 'altec fender collectors 511b horns in cabs rare ' Description to get started i dont know the fender model # of these, they are very rare and i couldnt find any info on the internet on them. what they consist of are, a pair of 511b altec horns with 808-8a altec drivers,(no decals on them), modified and fitted into fender cabinets with fender crossovers.  the interesting parts are the horns, the upper and lower flanges have been cut down, either at fender or altec, to fit in the cabs, and the underside of the horn bell have been tarred top and bottom( see the pics ).  they are 8 ohm and come with the original symbiotic diaphragms, they sound ok, but i popped in a set of aluminum diaphragms( not included ) and they came to life.  the crossovers as far as i can tell are sloped to match the normal rolloff of a woofer (not extended range woofers) without the use of a low pass filter.  the cabs are in excelent shape some scratches none are deep, the only flaw is on the back someone cut a hole for another crossover.  i will ship these anywhere at buyers expense, the shipping may be higher than listed, depending on location, these are about, im guessing 60 pounds each. either way you will only pay exact shipping.  i can deliver these anywhere in the phoenix area.   ((((   note, im away on the weekends, if you make an offer, i can not respond until monday night ! )))) Place a Bid!
