Description
Please note that I am selling the latest "Evolution" model of the Sim2 C3X projector, called the "C3X-e" model. The original C3X came out in late 2005, the "-e" model first came out in December of 2007 alongside the $32,995 C3X1080 model. There were several significant changes made to the -e model which makes it an even more remarkable projector incorporating basically the same processing engine as the C3X1080 model. Improvements over the original C3X include full 1080p input support including 1080p24 for super smooth 24 frames per second display from film sources, dual HDMI 1.3 inputs, full 10-bit color processing, and the full Sim2 CMS (Color Management System) called Live Colors Calibration. The -e model also uses a new bulb for even brighter images. The original C3X model was a game changing projector, the -e model knocks the ball out of the park! I have for sale a brand-new condition Sim2 C3X-e 3-Chip DLP projector. The projector is only 6 months old, has 275 total hours on the unit and bulb, and has the balance of the 2-year Sim2 warranty remaining. This projector is for home theater use with an incredible 6,800:1 native contrast ratio. It also is able to put out a stunning 2,500 lumens so it can be used with large screens and also in rooms that aren't very well light controlled. Compare this to the standard JVS RS1 or Sony models which put out on average around 600 lumens! This is a 3-Chip DLP projector. 3-Chip DLP is the most advanced high-end technology available. The super high end digital projectors at your local cinema uses 3-Chip DLP. It is the pinnacle of projector technology and that is why the cheapest 3-Chip DLP made today retails for $15,995 and that is the the Sim2 C3X Light (A lower end version of the projector that I am selling here). The C3X-e (which is what I am selling) retails for $19,995, then as you go to a 1080p model the cheapest one retails for over $30,000. You really are in a completely different league with these projectors vs the more middle of the road consumer oriented JVC, Sony, BenQ, etc... Most DLP projectors are single-chip which suffer from rainbow artifacts since they have to use the single DLP chip to sequentially display red, green, and blue. Whereas the 3-chip model has a DLP chip for each color, red, green, and blue so you end up with a much more vibrant and bright picture. What is remarkable about the Sim2 3-Chip DLP is that nearly all 3-Chip DLP projectors made today are gigantic in size, as all of the complex light paths and optics to support 3 DLP chips takes a lot of space. Sim2 has done an incredible job of shrinking everything down to a projector the same size as most other single chip DLP projectors. It is an amazing engineering feat. This projector has a vertical lens shift feature enabling it to fit most mounting positions. With this projector there are no moving parts to wear out, the only item that wears is the lamp and the lamp in this unit has only 275 hours on it, which is almost nothing! Please note that this is a 720p projector. Resolution is far from everything, this 720p projector will put most 1080p models to shame. The video processor in the C3X-e is unrivaled and makes very poor source images look much better than one would think they could. There is full support for anamorphic scaling so you can use an anamorphic lens for 2.35:1 screens, including programmable 12 volt triggers. I can talk about the high points of this projector until I am blue in the face but I think the many reviews out there can do a better job. Most reviews are of the original C3X model and they are all absolutely glowing about it. Keep in mind the C3X-e is yet another step up in performance. Here is just one: hhttp://www.projectorreviews.com/sim2/grand-cinema-c3x/ Per the review: "The Sim2 C3X receives our Hot Product Award! This was easy, So far, from an image quality standpoint, it has simply been the best projector I have had the opportunity to review." "Finally, we get to the summary! I'll start by again saying it is the best high end projector I have reviewed to date. More importantly the image produces is nothing short of spectacular." "There is very little not to like about the C3X itself, and what it does absolutely best is put an amazing image on your screen. I would have to say that a C3X in a well laid out room should make going to a typical movie theater, a real dissapointment. A brilliant (as in bright) image, deep neutral blacks, accurate colors (after calibration), truly excellent contrast, and an overall stunning image are the things that make you go wow, and the C3X does them all beautifully." The projector comes with its original box, remote, and packaging. This projector can be demoed and picked up from my house in the San Francisco Bay Area, otherwise it can be shipped for around $90 via Fed-Ex Ground with full insurance. PayPal is accepted, however you must be a verified PayPal member with confirmed address. The pictures below are of the actual projector for sale. The pictures of movie scenes are ACTUAL photos of images produced by a C3X projector and projected onto my very off-white wall without using a screen (i.e. very non-ideal conditions). As you can see the images produced by this projector are of phenomenal quality, having incredible rich colors and bright images, rivaling that of most 1080p projectors. My price is an absolutely incredible deal! Retail price is $19,995. Get it here for OVER 50% off, well below dealer cost! If you have any questions please contact me via the "Ask seller a question" button. Just to note, there have been a few of the Sim2 C3X Light models for sale on E-Bay. This "LIGHT" model is a lower end model that has 20% less contrast ratio and significantly less (40% less) brightness than the regular C3X, which is what I am selling here. Furthermore the Light model is based on the original C3X model, it has none of the -e improvements. The retail is $5,000 lower on the light model and the light model uses a 150 watt lamp vs the 250 watt lamp of the regular model. The lower contrast ratio is due to a more basic and less advanced light and optical path used on the light model.
