Start Price AUD 656.00 Current Price AUD 656.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Friday, November 21, 2008 End Time Monday, December 01, 2008 Location gold coast, Queensland See more about 'SHARP VZ-2500 VZ-V20 Vintage Boombox Ghettoblaster' Description SHARP VZ-2500 VZ-V20 Vintage Boombox Ghettoblaster           Up for sale is a rare Sharp VZ-2500 / VZ-V20 / VZ-V2 Vintage boombox.  This huge monster weight almost 17KG (more heavy than GF-777 or WX-1).  Everything is working fine.  Cassette player is fully functional, Radio is working with no problem at all and the most important thing is : Turntable is working as well!!!  How many VZ-V20 turntable is stilling working?  I doubt if you can find one in the market after 25 years...either the motor die or the needle don't have enough power to operate (too dirty in there) or the table is not spinning.  Anyway, I finally fixed the turntable after two month of hard work.  The turntable wasn't working before when I bought it, so I've open the case and install a new motor & new rubber strap.  I've also clean the PCB and everything in there.  The turntable is working now.  However, I don't have a record to try it out.  After I fix the record player, when I press PLAY / REW / FWD / SWAP SIDE , they are all working.  The needles for both side A and side B are funtional as well, the table is also spinning.  Seems everything is working fine after the repair, but I can not 100% gurantee it because I don't have a record to try it out(but all mechanics seems working good in the turntable).  Although everythings are working, but there is 3 switch caps are missing (please see photo).  If you want to select position on the missing cap, you still can do that by replacing the switch cap next to it.  I think it is not a big deal, because the missing cap is only for Noise Reduction.   I will only ship this via seamail with a  tracking number (It will cost too much via Airmail for such a heavy boombox, it will weight more than 20KG after packaging).  It will only takes 3 to 4 weeks to arrive and the postage is cheap.   For bidder from Europe, please ask for postage before bidding.    Spec Super ANRS Noise Reduction, 6 SW Bands,5 Memory TPS System, "AutoDisc" technology, marketed by Sharp with the phrase "Play Both Sides."
