The heavy duty casters easily handle the weight of the system for easy movement.  The front panel of the case becomes a connecting side table that can be used for the projector and accessories.  The flip out top shelf can be used for light weight projectors and accessories. Three drawers are built into the case.  This allows your remotes, wireless mic, DVD's, and other accessories to always remain close at hand without getting lost. Two of the drawers have locks with keys. The custom top drawer has your important remote controllers attached with straps.  This allows your remotes to always be close by and not get lost.  Two worklights with long goose necks allow you to get the light where you need it during an event. VXP customizes every case in our HD Workshop.  This includes precision placement of all jack mounts and cable routing.  This case  is the perfect foundation to hold PHD's technology. A Blu-ray DVD player is essential for any HD system today.  The second DVD player is a standard DVD player with 1080i up-conversion.  Sometimes you will want to go from source to source quickly.  This could include playing short commercial clips before an event or doing a short film festival.  The PHD has the ability to switch from DVD to DVD and up to three separate outside devices.  So imagine being able to cue up 5 devices at the same time and be able to switch back and forth between them all at will.  The audio will automatically switch with the video selections.  The PHD has high definition video outputs for the projector.  If you have any outside device that is non HD (composite or s-video) the PHD will up-convert the image to the HD video output.  Its does this automatically.  If your outside device has a stereo audio output,  the PHD will convert it to 7.1 surround sound.   The PHD has 8 pre-wired XLR jacks.  This allows you to plug your speakers directly to the side of the case.  If you choose to set up less than the full 7.1 setup you can easily change the speaker set up configuration.  If you want to setup 2.0 (speakers on the right and left), 2.1 (right, left  plus a subwoofer), 3.0, 3.1, 4.0...all the way up to 7.1 you simply select the setting on the decoder menu and plug in your speakers to the corresponding jacks.  Setting up this system means plugging in the projector, plugging in your speakers, and plugging in your AC power... that's it. Setting up Surround Sound Systems outdoors has always been a challenge...until now.  After you set up your speakers, you punch in the distance from each speaker to the center point of the listening area.  The PHD will automatically the set the volume balances accordingly.  In an outdoor setting it is sometimes desirable to make volume adjustments to some of the speakers.  In a perfect indoor theater you usually set the volume level to all of the speakers so that the volume is the same from each speaker to the center listening point in the middle of the theater. The decoder will then automatically adjust the volume for all of the speakers throughout the movie to give you a surround sound experience.  When you are outdoors you will find situations where the speakers can not be set up in a perfect symmetrical configuration. Also, conditions such as high humidity can effect characteristics of the sound. Other factors including the terrain, crowd size, and speaker distance can effect the sound.  Because the dialogue comes from the center channel it is common to boost this channel up a couple of notches.  Because the subwoofer does not carry as well outdoors as it does in a theater it is common to boost the subwoofer channel as well.  The PHD has the ability to adjust the independent volume to each speaker channel to give you complete flexibility. Also, the self powered speakers have individual volume controls. After you set up the system a couple of times you will find yourself using similar volume settings almost every time. The PHD also lets you calibrate the speakers by sending a noise tone through each speaker.  It will send the tone to each speaker for a couple of seconds and automatically send the tone to the next speakers one at a time.  All you have to do is stand  in the center and listen to the speakers. You will adjust the volume on each speaker until the tone coming from each speaker has  the same volume. This method is an acceptable level of quality for most situations. VXP's dual IMSS matrix monitor system allows you the ability to see any image from the DVD players, outside devices, and images sent to the projector on two monitors.  This allows you to view and cue up any images while another is projecting. This is an invaluable tool for the event professional and makes every event smoother, easier, and more enjoyable.   The PHD sends its image to the projector through your choice of a component (red, green, blue) or HDMI output.  Depending on your video display device you choose the option.  As with everything else, the PHD is all about flexibility and options.   The PHD is loaded with advanced features and functions. With a short learning curve you can quickly learn this system.  After a handful of events you will greatly appreciate the complexities of the system and the simplicity of its use.       BLU-RAY HIGH DEFINITION DVD PLAYERS With Blu-ray all of the old movies are fun to see again. When you experience High Definition outdoors on the Big Screen for the first time you will never go back to standard definition and you will be proud to show movies at this level. One analogy is to compare a digital camera photo taken at the lowest resolution setting to the same picture with the camera set at its highest resolution setting. The difference is dramatic. With widescreen formatting and a native 16:9 projector with DVI or HDMI input (not an XGA 4:3 outdated projector) you get an amazing all inclusive system. Blu-ray DVD Up-conversion - Blu-ray DVD players will also play any standard DVD's and up-convert them to High Definition 1080 resolution. The standard image is dramatically improved so even if you want to play a movie that is not on a Blu-ray DVD, you will get a great image with this technology.
