Nakamichi Dragon Cassette Deck Start Price USD 450.00 Current Price USD 620.00 Time Left - Bid Count 5 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Monday, November 17, 2008 End Time Monday, November 24, 2008 Location Round Rock, TX See more about 'Nakamichi Dragon Cassette Deck' Description Are you interested in buying a great piece of vintage equipment?  The Nakamichi Dragon was a legend in its time.  This is why I purchased this unit from ebay four years ago.  I now need to put this unit up for sale as I now have a growing family.  Take a look at these photos!The unit was from an estate sale and was owned by only one person.  I took the unit to a well respected shop in Austin, TX and their head tech cleaned up the unit and told me that everything was now pretty much running to spec.  His one piece of advice was to purchase new wheels for the Nak since the rubber was getting a little hard and the tracking mechanism was more active than normal in keeping proper head alignment against the tape.  If you're a Nak collector, it should be no problem to change them out.I've used the unit on two occassions to transfer two cassettes to CD, and once to record some music.  So the unit has had almost no use since I purchased it and his been turned on maybe 6 times total.  The other times was to set bias prior to recording some music or just to make sure everything was running fine.I would rate the physical condition of the unit as very good.  You can see two small lines of aluminum at the bottom edge of the face plate, and some very minor smudges of the case at the top.  The unit arrived in this condition, but it has always looked great on my stereo rack and these minor defects were not noticeable.If you're not happy with the unit, we can arrange a return within 7 days of receipt.
