Classco 5000 Voice Announce Talking Caller ID Great Gi Great Gift for the person who has everything but didnt Start Price USD 29.99 Current Price USD 29.99 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Tuesday, November 18, 2008 End Time Thursday, December 18, 2008 Location Springfield, SD See more about 'Classco 5000 Voice Announce Talking Caller ID Great Gi' Description This item is great for anybody that is busy and hates wasting valuable time.  Some outfits sell this model for $ 79.99.  It announces the number of the person calling with volume settings of Mute, Low, Med, and High and is quite loud on high, which can be heard clearly from throughout the house.   It has loads of features and is very useful, especially in a business setting.  There is no longer any need to look over to see who is calling or stare at the caller ID, just pick up the phone and if you recognize the number you heard, you already know who is calling.  Very useful at home in bed, you can decide to take the call without grabbing the phone, giving away of course that you are at home, or you can decide to call them back later.   Also has a regular 3 line display.    This unit just hooks up between your regular phone, very useful if your current  favorite phone doesn't have caller id.   It comes complete ready to go out of the box with the ac adapter, the extra phone line, and a very good detailed instruction manual.   All you need to do is plug the Talking Caller ID into the wall phone jack, take your current phone line and plug it into the caller ID box that runs to your phone.  Plug in the ac adapter, (this unit does not use batteries, battery models tend to have lower volume) and your done.             You do need to have at least caller id from your phone company and if you have caller ID/Call Waiting from your phone company, it will announce the number of the person calling you while you are on the phone and you can decide to switch or call back.  How many times have you decided to switch only to find out its a salesman.  This unit will announce if the number is blocked or if it is a private caller also.     Another advantage to this unit is the Internet Call Waiting feature, if you are still using just one line on a 56k telephone line, then you know what it is like.   Someone tries to call and they can't get through or maybe they break the internet connection.  Now with caller ID call waiting you can hear who is trying to get through to you and decide whether you want to talk at that moment or finish that internet download or movie or whatever you are surfing on the internet.      Please note that this unit announces the number automatically, that is it's default. (You can Mute if you want and the regular caller ID display will still register, and the display works like a regular caller ID) However this unit will also allow you to designate a number to a category which will announce any of the following.........FRIENDS...FAMILY...WORK...SCHOOL..DON'T ANSWER..., IT'S FOR YOU in a (male or female voice really two categories), and a "DogBarking" sound.  You should the look on peoples faces when the dog barks "woof".  ........Basically if you only put one person in each category that is 8 people you can easily identify and of course you can put more than one person in each category.  Quite honestly I don't even use this feature very much as I already know the phone number of the person calling.   This unit is a little lower priced than the 9900CW but still allows you to identify a person or person(s)  by the categories above, by the number being announced, or of course the regular normal display.       You will realize this is a luxury item that actually tendsto be quite useful.     This unit stores up to 99 numbers, it has the regular display, you can call back a number on the screen with the touch of a button, if you have voice mail service from your telephone company it will also by red light tell you that you have a call waiting.   Now that's a very good caller display even if it didn't talk.............BUT IT DOES TALK...and here is why it is as useful as it is.    1.   Home or Work.......You look at your regular caller ID and you have 24 people who have called while you were away.  You stand there and read each number or name on your regular caller ID, pressing the button each time with your right hand and then picking up a pen to write it down.  With  The   Classco Talking  Caller ID, just  press the button hold it  for two seconds , then let go and walk away.  It will announce all 24 callers while you put away your bags or groceries or you can sit back and relax and just listen.     What is that...it is called time saving.   And Time of Course is........?????       2.    Kids-Ugh-have them..love them but....How many times...you, spouse or the  kid(s) fighting to get to the phone because so and so is calling... After the first or second rings this thing announces the number.   Or worse, sitting down relaxed and the phone rings..but nobody coming to pick it up.   No phone nearby so you run to the phone and its yep the child's friend.    If the child had heard it was her friend you wouldn't have had to stub your toe getting to the phone.    3.    Bed-Sleeping away, phone rings?  What do you do?  You have to reach over or get up out of bed (or couch if napping) to get to the phone.  Wouldn't it be easier if you could just listen to the number or category of who is calling?     4.   The OOPS...call.....Okay you figured it was so and so calling and youre annoyed so you answer with a "WHAT!?" and it wasn't, instead it was the boss.  Oops.  Not a good tone of voice.      5.  Also very useful in work situations as above where the number is known and two people or more are using the same phone or phones in the same area.  The right person answers it, instead of having to get the other person.     This unit in a work situation will increase productivity, save time, and TIME is ???????    Let's just put it this way in the right situations you will save time and this unit will pay for itself over time.     So if you haven't bought by now...What Else can this do?  A.  Internet Call waiting options to answer the call, send the caller a message that you are on the Internet or ignore the calls, or if you subscribe to voice mail the caller can be sent to Voice Mail..B.  Identify the caller while busy and you can decide to stop or call back later ignoring the call without walking or running to the caller ID box to see who is calling.  (You really can't make that decision with a regular caller ID..You have to move to see the caller ID or pick up the phone to look at it right?)  This unit on high is quite loud  Don't get fooled by cheaper units that don't have high volume..you will regret it.C.    The convenience of a regular caller ID display with the Luxury of the Talking Caller ID.  Stores up to 99 numbers, dial back callers at the touch of a key, find out who is calling on call waiting, let's you know if the call is for the wife, kids, or you.  Decide your tone of  voice or get a second or two to think of what you are going to say to who's calling but FINALLY and most important,D.    Question:Save Time and Make????????????????????????Answer:$$$$$$$$$$$$$.  Place a Bid!
