BARLOW WADLEY XCR-30 FM VERSION **RARE** Start Price USD 695.00 Current Price USD 695.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Wednesday, October 22, 2008 End Time Friday, November 21, 2008 Location SF BAY AREA See more about 'BARLOW WADLEY XCR-30 FM VERSION **RARE**' Description Although not as rare as the green version. the FM version is highly desired by those that collect this very cool model from SOUTH AFRICA. if you want to learn more about the XCR-30, go to the worlds best and only site:   http://www.barlowwadley.it/ Performance on this unit is excellent. receives well and sounds great. all controls works as they should this FM unit is a bit below average cosmetic condition for an XCR-30 as they do not hold up well under less than perfect condition., the shiny metal parts do not retain their lustre. the antenna seems to be short a segement but works well otherwise. parts in general either get a bit rusty or blistery. someone adept at restoring metal might be able to restore to it some brilliance. also the paint is direct on the metal case and it chips a bit oneasier than most japanese or american metal receivers so there are chip marks. one might also be able to repaint the grey case. moral of the story is don't hold out for a mint FM XCR-30, it might take years to find one ! and that's if you're lucky copies of the user and service manuals are included The XCR-30 is very hard to find expecially the FM and green versions. I suggest you not wait for another one to show up as it will most likey be in worse condition and it could take a year or two to find !   a complete set of pics is available to serious buyers, email me I really like the XCR-30, I am keeping a standard unit for myself. a few months ago a standard but butchered plain XCR-30 went for $1100, the FM version is much more rare so this price is a steal Place a Bid!
